Steven Brian Kendrick has served honorably as Richmond County’s Tax Commissioner for almost 13 years after being first elected in 2008. He was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and was educated in the Richmond County Public School System, graduating from Westside High School. He attended Florida A&M University (FAMU) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration. He continued his education at FAMU by obtaining his MBA in 1991. He has served as a professor of Business for Augusta University, Paine College and the University of Phoenix, as a salesperson in the pharmaceutical industry and as an executive in a family business, Augusta Blueprint. Mr. Kendrick is a licensed real estate broker, agent, and also a licensed real estate instructor. He is also a graduate of both the 2006 Georgia Academy of Economic Development and 2003 Leadership Augusta Class and a member of the Psi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Alpha Mu Boule of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. He is married with six children.
